Grand Hotel is an upcoming ABC soapy drama based on the Spanish drama series of a similar name, Gran Hotel, developed by Brian Tanen.

Eva Longoria executive produces this bold, provocative drama set at the last family-owned hotel in multicultural Miami Beach. Charismatic Santiago Mendoza owns the hotel, while his glamorous second wife Gigi, and their adult children enjoy the spoils of success. The hotel's loyal staff round out a contemporary, fresh take on an upstairs/downstairs story. Wealthy and beautiful guests bask in luxury, but scandals, escalating debt, and explosive secrets hide beneath the picture perfect exterior.

Production
Grand Hotel were first announced to be in development on November 21, 2017, written by Brian Tanen and executive produced by Tanen, Eva Longoria, and Ben Spector.[1] The series received a pilot order on February 2, 2018.[2] On May 11, 2018, the series was picked up by ABC.[3]
The series is filmed primarily in Miami-Dade County, Florida, which covers affluent cities such as Golden Beach, Surfside and Indian Creek.[4] The Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel is doubling as the Riviera Grand.[5][6] Alternative production locations include Los Angeles, Honolulu and the Dominican Republic.[4]
